1979 JEEP CJ-5 UTILITY

This CJ was a labor of love for the previous owner, who decided one day to completely redo it from the engine to the paint.

Bright Red finish is extremely nice and shows just two minor stone chips and a light scuff from being driven and enjoyed.

Frame is like new and painted in heat and rust resistant gloss black.

The original 304ci V8 was stripped and completely rebuilt with stock internals, finned valve covers, Holley Carb and air cleaner, polished March pulley system and PS pump, new aluminum radiator, new power brake booster, MSD ignition setup, an Optima Yellow Top battery and more.

The T-150 3-speed transmission was rebuilt and shifts cleanly through all gears. While not a freeway flyer, it gets you around town with ease and is a blast to drive. Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 44 rear axle were rebuilt with OEM parts and original 3.55 gearing.

New seats front and back look great, and the dash was refinished with all new rebuilt gauges that work perfectly. Dash switches control the upper and front KC Daylighter lighting. Headlights, brake lamps, etc. work as they should too. No heat or A/C. Rear seats feature a 5-point harness to keep kids from flying out. Front gets lap belts. Bimini top keeps the sun from covering you. Waterproof Audio system with Bluetooth is in place, powered, and functional. Dash speakers were removed and new speakers were never put on the roll bars as planned. We guarantee head unit functions.

It has just over 2,500 miles since completion and the tires show about 80% of the usable tread left. Wheels look great, and it has a great stance.

It has been used as a beach cruiser and Sunday ice-cream run JEEP since finished, and the only "off-road" it has seen is when it had to drive on grass a couple times. It is super clean, super fun to drive, and catches more looks than a supermodel when it goes down the road.
